The results of the 2025 Annual Museum Survey are in! We are thrilled to share that in 2024/25, The Ropewalk has continued to make a significant contribution to the local economy through visitors, employment and local supplier usage.
For 2024/25, we welcomed almost 100,000 visitors, and the total economic impact of these visitors to the local economy amounted to £2,151,011!
The economic impact of both employment and the use of local goods and services amounted to approximately £230,000.
This highlights the importance of supporting local businesses, as the benefits to the wider local economy are significant.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank every single visitor from the past year, whether you attended shows in Ropery Hall, enjoyed exhibitions, shopped in the Craft Gallery or dined in the Coffee Shop – your visit made a difference!
From jugs, bowls, mugs, teapots and ornaments, there are some great ideas for gifts beautifully created by local artists.
