Katie.R.Veall is a punch needle artist based in Lincolnshire, passionate about keeping this traditional rug making technique alive in the UK. Her work is created by hand using her trusty Oxford punch needles, with each piece featuring a few thousand loops of yarn and an abundance of texture.
She is inspired by heritage items, the Lincolnshire landscape and by European folk art, with elements of these often featuring in her original designs.
She is a member of Heritage Crafts, the national charity for traditional crafts in the UK, and was a proud recipient of one of their 2024 training bursaries to further develop her practice. In 2025 she was awarded the Jackie Towell Scholarship by the Oxford Punch Needle Instructors’ Guild and is due to complete the Oxford Certified Instructor qualification in early 2026. Her work has been exhibited in a number of galleries across Lincolnshire.
