The Ropewalk hosts Waterside Food Festival
The second of the two Food Festivals being held in Barton upon Humber this year takes place on Sunday, August 10.
The Ropewalk Promenade is once again the setting for the second Waterside Food Festival and will see food producers from across the region setting up their stalls along its length tempting visitors with the best that local producers have to offer.
Liz Bennet of The Ropewalk said she was delighted that the arts venue was once again hosting the Festival.
“This year all the stalls will be set up along the Promenade enticing visitors with the mouth-watering produce on offer including preserves, breads, cheeses and lots more,” she said.
“I am sure that all those who remember the Food Festival last September will be hoping for far better weather than we endured then although the wet and windy conditions failed to dampen the spirits of both shoppers and browsers,” she continued.
And Cllr Paul Vickers, chair of the Barton Tourism Partnership that has organised both of this year’s Food Festivals in conjunction with North Lincolnshire Council added: “So far 20 producers will be supporting the event and this is in addition to the demonstrations that will be taking place on the hour in Ropery Hall by Nigel Brown of the Nigel Brown Cookery Academy based at The Ropewalk and Lincoln based Jenny’s Jams.
There will also be street entertainers and music throughout the day as well activities for children.
The Waterside Food Festival will run from from 10am until 4pm.
