Collagraph Printmaking Day Workshop at The Ropewalk
The process of collagraph printmaking will be explained by Barton upon Humber printmaker Angela Lindsley at a day workshop being held at the town’s The Ropewalk in early February.
In this introductory course led by Angela on Saturday, February 9, the versatile techniques of collagraph printmaking will be explained.
“Printing blocks are produced by cutting, tearing and adding DIY materials to them which produces both strong and subtle tones,” explained The Ropewalk’s Education Officer, Janine Knight.
“Once the plate is prepared then students will be shown how various inking processes produce rich and vibrant prints.”
All materials needed for the workshop will be provided although students are welcome to bring their own material if they so wish. There will be a small charge on the day for materials, if used, of between £5 and £10.
The workshop runs between 10.30am and 4.30pm and costs £35 or £32 if you are a Ropewalk Member. Places can be booked by calling into the Craft Gallery or calling 01652 660380.
