Christmas Art Market at The Ropewalk
More than 35 artists from northern Lincolnshire and beyond will be gathering at The Ropewalk in Barton upon Humber on Saturday, December 3, for the arts centre’s annual Christmas Art Market.
The artists will be setting up their stalls along the corridors the length of the quarter-mile long building between 10am and 4pm and selling contemporary art and Christmas gifts.
Organiser Pete Mitchell said: “It’s very positive news for those supporting the arts in our area that once again there has been very healthy support for this annual event.”
“Gifts will be on sale at prices to suit everyone’s pockets and all will have been made by the artists. Even if the weather does its worst visitors can be assured of a warm welcome and an extremely enjoyable shopping experience,”
“The Art Market really is the ideal place to buy Christmas presents which cannot be found on the High Street,” he went on. “The artists and makers at the Market will be selling original handmade gifts, cards and art work at prices to suit everyone’s pocket.”
Admission to the Christmas Market is free as is the Maltkiln Road gallery’s Christmas Show which opens the same morning.
Other Christmas attractions at The Ropewalk this year include extended opening hours until 7pm every Thursday from December 1 to December 22 for late night shopping.
