Malcolm Whittaker: Just under the surface
“As an artist making work about landscape, the notion of an ‘experience of time’ became a focus. Walk anywhere in the British Isles and you soon become aware of our rich human and natural history, a land strewn with remnants of our past. Remnants from successive centuries, buildings, field systems, pathways, stone circles and markers, landforms and hill figures, creating a rich visual amalgam that stimulates flights of the imagination.
The multifarious images of archaeology, geology, maps, surfaces, text and book forms are the main sources of my work.” Malcolm Whittaker
Malcolm will be giving a brief talk on Saturday, September 24 at 2pm. Admission is free but booking is essential.
