The Ropewalk supports Radio Humberside Candle Appeal
The Ropewalk is supporting Radio Humberside’s fundraising for St Andrew’s Children’s Hospice in Grimsby by organising a themed workshop.
On Saturday, February 19, from 11am until 1pm Janine Knight of The Ropewalk based children’s arts charity ST-ART, will be in the Artspace at the Maltkiln Road gallery helping youngsters make their very own decorative candle holder. There is a suggested donation of £1 for the Radio Humberside Appeal.
“There is no need to book for this drop-in workshop,” said Janine. “Those taking part in the activity will be able to make their very own tea-light candle holder using empty jars, tissue, beads and other decorative items.”
“We understand that as part of Radio Humberside’s fundraising, breakfast presenter Andy Comfort and two of his team will be cycling around the area to raise awareness of the Candle Appeal and pick up donations along the way,” added Janine.
“The cycle team will be in our area on Monday, February 21, and we are hoping they will have time to drop into The Ropewalk to pick up the results of our fundraising.”
From now until February 21 all the money raised from our Book Swap shelf in the Coffee Shop will also go towards Radio Humberside’s Candle Appeal.
