Wendy Chan

Wendy is a textile artist and maker and have been based at the Ropewalk since 2000. Originally trained as a fashion and knitwear designer, she has since specialised in felt making and screen printing.From her studio she produces work for galleries, exhibitions and commissions.
A passion for detail and a drive to create unique pieces from hand rolled felt in neckwear accessories to unique knitted/crocheted scarves. Inspirations comes primarily from working directly with fibres and yarns, playing with the interactions and reactions of the materials.
An experienced workshop leader, Wendy has developed her crafts by exploring the creative processes for making art and crafts through various textile techniques. She has been workshop leader and artist in Resident in North, North East Lincolnshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire.
