Current projects and partners ST-ART was recently awarded a grant from the Big Lottery Young People’s Fund and is currently working with 2 groups of young people at Westcliff Drop in Centre and Barton Youth Centre. The funding was awarded for a 2-year project, which will start with the young people doing some committee skills training in order to be able to run their own group. This year’s lantern parade was again a success with over 150 people turning out on the day to help carry the lanterns. Young people from Barton and the surrounding villages made the lanterns during workshops held at The Ropewalk in October half term. The workshops were extremely popular and well attended and were sponsored by Barton Town Council.
