AboutST-ART was set up in 2004 and received charity status in 2007 it’s aims are: For the benefit of young people aged from birth to 19 years old in the Humber region, to provide or assist in the provision of facilities for education, recreation or other leisure time occupation in the interests of social welfare with the object of improving the conditions of life for the beneficiaries without distinction of sex or of political, religious or other opinions. ST-ART offers a range of art and craft activities for young people, which take place during the school holidays. The activities are usually aimed at 5 – 13 year olds but we occasionally offer activities for young people up to the age of 19 and their families. An adult must always accompany children under 8 years, and the current program should be checked for any other requirements. ST-ART works with many partners both in and around Barton including Broughton, Westcliff, Epworth, Wootton, Barrow-Upon-Humber, South Killingholme, Ulceby, Viking Resource Centre and is open to working with partners in other areas. Activities usually last for 2 hours but occasionally last for a full day and start at around £1 per session depending on the type and length of activity. Activities include craft, music, drama and much more. All of our tutors are practicing artists qualified to degree level with enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau, their own public liability insurance and are experienced in working with children.
