Michael Scrimshaw

Michael Scrimshaw specialises in Fine art and sculpture; with a current exhibition The Giant Sleeps, at the Ropewalk’s Artspace, funded by the Arts Council England. Featuring a metal giant and other works, it is a show on an ambitious scale. The exhibition is proving extremely popular and has received much interest and unexpected attention. Michael was pleased to be invited to deliver a series of educational workshops, arranged by the Ropewalk, with groups of primary school children who enjoyed visiting the exhibition and creating their own piece of kinetic art work to proudly take home. Michael works on many and varied projects and teaches sculpture at the East Coast School of Art and Design. Michael is currently working on a collection of pieces with a view to organising a touring exhibition of The Giant Sleeps.
