The Ropewalk run a programme of creative workshops throughout the year.

Regular classes include life drawing and patchwork. Our printroom offers a tutored class in printmaking on wednesday afternoon and the facilities are available to hire at other times.

In addition we run day workshops led by visiting tutors in a number of art and craft disciplines.

We have a busy programme of workshops for schools aimed at all ages and abilities and many activities are tailor-made to fit individual school’s schemes of work. And activities for young people during the school holidays can be found by visiting the St-art page.

An introductory workshop to welcome you to the world of Facebook and other social media.

We’ll explore how to create a Facebook account, set up a page and start to write basic posts and make connections. We’ll also look into how Facebook is a powerful social media tool, alongside other channels such as Twitter and Instagram.

Complete beginners to Facebook and social media are very welcome! Enthusiasm is essential and knowledge of how to use a computer is preferable.

Make your Facebook page work for your organisation

An intermediate workshop for existing Facebook users, exploring how to optimise content, engage with your audience and generate results. We will discuss Facebook posting ‘best practice’, promoted adverts, campaign monitoring and reporting, and the power of photos and video. An existing Facebook page is essential, as well as lots of enthusiasm!
