The Ropewalk holds a cinema screening every week, alternating between Matines on a Friday and an Evening Film the following Thursday. Our aim is to provide an alternative to main stream cinema. Our seats may not be as plush, our screen not as big but we make up for all we lack with a friendly atmosphere, licensed bar and a selection of films that are not ‘popular’ enough to make it to the larger auditoriums.

Matinees start at 2pm and cost £2 on the door

Evening performances start at 7.30pm* and cost £2.50
* 14th February performance of Becoming Jane will start at 8pm, after the talk at 7.30.

We are licensed for the performances and will be selling wine, beer and of course, ice cream.
