Ropewalk Contemporary Art and Craft offer a range of in-house, educational workshops to schools across the region. Our programme can easily be adapted to suit all levels of primary education, and is based on and around the specific learning objectives of the National Curriculum. We have a small but dedicated team of qualified artists available to tutor classes of up to 35 children unless otherwise stated. All of our artists are experienced in working with children of this age group, are qualified to degree level and have enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau.
Prices start at £3.50 per child and vary due to the cost of materials and equipment.

Times are flexible to suit your needs, and we offer both half day and full day workshops, with the option of a room for lunch if required, alternatively, you may like to visit the adjacent nature park, Water’s Edge, where you will find seating and a play area suitable for all ages.
Our sculpture garden has a plethora of interesting sensory plants and features to explore and the local area boasts interesting natural habitats for wildlife and coastal industry of historical significance.

We aim to be an inclusive facility and will be happy to accommodate any needs that you
