Featured Jeweller for April is Amanda Ray
Amanda creates stunning Art Deco style, raku fired jewellery from her studio in St Ives. Her jewellery is inspired by the designs of the 60’s and the Art Deco period, combining silver and ceramic. Using the Japanese firing technique, raku, glazed pieces are fired, quickly taken from the kiln and put into wood chippings and paper where they immediately self-ignite, creating lustrous surfaces and leaving unglazed areas carbonised by the smoke.
