Craft Gallery
The Craft Gallery is an ever changing display of the best in contemporary craft. Representing over 200 makers from throughout the country and beyond, the gallery offers a comprehensive range including ceramics, jewellery, glassware, textiles and unframed artwork.
In 2009 the Craft Gallery underwent a facelift which increased our available space and included specially commissioned shop and jewellery counters that were funded by an award from the Arts Council. Lincolnshire-based furniture designer Tim Rinaldi has made two beautiful, complementary designs in solid ash, black oak and zebrano veneer. The addition of a bespoke jewellery counter has enabled us to greatly expand the range and number of jewellery makers represented and the new space created by the relocation of the shop counter has been filled with an extended collection of print browsers showing original paintings, photographs and a wide selection of contemporary printmaking.

New Craft
Pru Green
Our once a year delivery of Pru Green’s work is now available in the Craft Gallery. All the way from Wivenhoe near Colchester we now have a wonderful selection of mugs, bowls in various sizes, espresso cups and jugs all hand painted in Pru’s unique colourful style. Prices starting at £19.
This month’s featured jeweller is Lora Leedham
Tucked away in a tiny workshop in the centre of Birmingham’s Historic Jewellery Quarter, Lora Leedham is an award winning designer, creating ethical, contemporary jewellery, all handcrafted, making each piece unique and subtly different to the next. She uses high end materials such as sterling silver, gold, and conflict-free gemstones.
Lora’s wide range of ethically handcrafted rings have been worn by celebrities and featured in national & international magazines, including Vogue & Grazia. They are all handcrafted in sterling silver, gold, palladium or platinum and bear the Birmingham hallmark.
It’s fitting that with Valentine’s Day on the horizon we are stocking Lora’s carefully hand sculpted heart cages, woven with Venetian glass inners from her Amor collection.
