The Ropery Coffee Shop

The Ropery Coffee Shop, only a short distance from the hustle and bustle of Barton Town Centre, is the perfect place to enjoy home cooked food in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Fresh local produce is used to create a wide variety vegitarian snacks and light lunches. A large selection of delicious home made cakes, coffees and organic juices are also available.

Our recent kitchen extension means we are able to respond to more of our customer requests and we are now delighted to offer freshly filled baguettes, along with crisps, biscuits and hot and cold drinks, to take away in addition to our already extensive Ropery Coffee Shop menu.

Ropery coffee Shop now stock Mount Pleasant Windmill Flour. We have 3 different varieties, Strong White £2.70, Wholemeal £2.50 & 7 Cereal Blend £2.90.

All the flour is produced in Kirton in Linsey. It's all organic, stoneground and untreated. This gives guaranteed freshness and flavour.


Bracken Hill Foods Calendar Girls Yorkshire Lemon Curd & Three Fruit Marmalade - £2.95

The work of the Calendar Girls is dedicated to the memory of John Baker who sadly died from non-Hodgkins lymphoma in 1998 aged 54.The Sunflower was Johns favourite flower.The Girls all members of the W.I.decided to bare all to raise money in his memory,the Calendar and many other fund raising ideas have raised over £2 million for Leukaemia Research the only charity in the UK dedicated exclusively to researching all blood cancers.

Bracken Hill Fine Foods are delighted to help in this by donating 30p for every jar sold through their outlets and on markets.

The Coffee Shop is now stocking sauces by Fat Man Chilli – wonderful for the barbecue season. Pop in and see the range which can be bought with flavours ranging from £4.50 to £6.


Another new addition is Womersley Fruit Vinegars and Amanda’s Vinegar of the Month for December is Lemon, Basil, Bay & Juniper. Other vinegars will also be featured as will the Womersley jellies which include Apple and Geranium, Apple and Lavender, Apple and Rosemary and Apple and Apache Chilli.
